US Passports are not required, but still recommended for travel to the US Virgin Islands. If you want to go to one of the British or French West Indies Islands, which are all very close, you will need your passport!
The currency is the U.S. Dollar (USD). ATM machines can be found on all 3 islands. The most widely accepted form of credit cards are: Visa and MasterCard.
Driving is on the left side of the road – English style! Seatbelts are required by law. It is illegal to drive while speaking on your cell phone. Bring your ear-piece!
April to June is the best time to visit the U.S. Virgin Islands. You can expect mild weather and very little rainfall. July to October is rainy season. The average temp is 83°.
Guests usually reserve a rental car and with my instructions they drive to the Calypso Suite. Guests are able to park on the compound right outside of the suite.
If guests have not rented a vehicle they are able to take public transportation with VItran (local transportation Co.) or catch a taxi van just 2 blocks away or walk the half mile to the town of Frederiksted and catch the bus there.
